WE STAND WITH KENYA: MESSAGE OF SOLIDARITY FROM RECSA EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

RECSA strongly condemns the sheer disrespect of the lives of innocent civilians in the atrocious terrorist attack at 14 Riverside Drive, Nairobi on 15th January 2019.

“We stand in solidarity with the Government and the People of the Republic of Kenya. Our hearts go out to the victims and their families. With reverence for the valiant security officers in the line of response. #IstandWithKenya” said Lt. Gen.Badreldin Elamin Abdelgadir, the Executive Secretary of the Regional Centre on Small Arms and Light Weapons (RECSA).

RECSA also reiterates its commitment to support Kenya and all States Parties to the Nairobi Protocol on Small Arms and Light Weapons to address the illegal accumulation of small arms and light weapons which have been the weapons of choice by agents of terrorism in the region. One innocent life lost is one too many.

More than ever, we are emboldened to support regional governments in defeating terrorists and all elements threatening the peace and security of our people; towards our vision of a safe and secure sub-region.

Lt. Gen. Badreldin Elamin Abdelgadir
Executive Secretary, RECSA
